Teach a Bot by demonstration
Grok Bot can watch you do a task once and save it as a routine. Which tasks are good candidates, how to narrate, and why you shouldn't demonstrate with your own logins.
Short answerGreat for click-heavy, stable workflows in tools with no API. Demonstrate signed in as the Bot's account, not yours; narrate the decision rules as you go; then edit the saved skill to add the stop condition and approval rule the Bot didn't see you think.
Good candidates
Weekly exports from a portal with no API. Filling the same internal form. Multi-step admin in a tool whose API you'd rather not learn. Anything you've done fifty times the same way.
Bad candidates
Anything on a site that challenges the Bot's browser (it'll work for you, not for it). Anything where you make judgement calls you can't articulate. Anything involving your personal accounts.
How to do it
- Sign in as the Bot's account on the shared computer, not yours.
- Ask the Bot to follow along. Narrate: "I skip rows where the status is Draft. I always check the total before saving."
- Do the task once, cleanly.
- Open the saved skill and edit: add the four-part shape, an action cap, and the approval rule.
- Run it supervised three times before scheduling.
