How much does Grok Bot cost?

A beginner's guide to Grok Bot cost: which account unlocks it, how the weekly allowance works, when on-demand billing starts and how to prevent a spending surprise.

Short answerGrok Bot cost has three parts: an eligible Cursor or SuperGrok plan, a weekly Grok Bot allowance, and on-demand model usage after that allowance. The allowance size is not published and there is no separate cap for each Bot, so check the eligibility and billing screens on your own account before you schedule a routine.

Check these three screens first

Before you buy a plan or create a routine, open your own account and check:

  1. The Grok Bot eligibility or availability screen.
  2. The weekly Grok Bot allowance shown for your account.
  3. The on-demand usage setting and account limit in the billing dashboard.

Grok Bot is changing during beta. Your account screen is more useful than an old pricing screenshot or a post describing someone else's plan.

The three parts of the cost

There is no published per-Bot, per-hour, per-connector or per-routine price. There is also no separate spending cap for each Bot.

Which plans have been listed?

At launch on 11 August 2026, the listed routes included Cursor Ultra at $200 per month, Cursor Teams Premium at $120 per seat and SuperGrok Heavy at about $300 per month. The official get-started information later listed SuperGrok Plus or Heavy and Cursor Pro+, Ultra or Teams, while trackers also reported access on Cursor Pro and SuperGrok.

Because those lists have differed, do not buy from this paragraph alone. Check the availability table on the account that will run the Bots.

What changes the bill

The number of Bots is not a useful budget by itself. Usage depends on what the routines do.

A daily routine that reads only changed records and stops after one report is bounded. An hourly instruction to "keep checking everything" can run far more often, reread old work and move the account into on-demand usage.

For every routine, record:

  • its schedule;
  • the source it may read;
  • the maximum records per run;
  • the model it uses;
  • its stop condition.

Safe setup for a first-time user

  1. Keep on-demand usage off during the first supervised test.
  2. Run one Bot manually with one small input.
  3. Check the billing dashboard after the run.
  4. Add a fixed schedule only after the output and usage look reasonable.
  5. If the business enables on-demand usage, use an amount the owner approved.
  6. Add the spend-monitoring routine and test the emergency stop.

How to estimate your real cost

Use your own first week rather than a generic calculator:

  1. Record the allowance and on-demand setting before the test.
  2. Run the exact workflow you plan to use.
  3. Record how many times it ran and how much usage changed.
  4. Include the time a person spent reviewing its work.
  5. Decide whether to keep, reduce or cancel the schedule.

That gives you the cost of your workflow, not an average from someone else's Bots.
