Grok Bot usage doesn't match the Cursor dashboard
The Grok Bot app says 48% used; the Cursor dashboard says 0%. Which number bills you, and how to keep your own record.
Short answerThe Cursor dashboard usage page is the billing record. Log what the app shows, but budget against the dashboard. Have your watcher routine read the dashboard, not the app.
Symptom
Reported on launch day: a user who bought Ultra to test saw the dashboard report no usage while the app reported 48%. Metering bugs in a beta get fixed, but you should know which number to trust while they exist.
Which is right
The dashboard. It's what bills. The app's meter is a convenience view that can lag or mis-attribute.
What to do
- Point your spend watcher routine at the dashboard usage page, not the app's meter.
- Keep a daily log (a plain text file on the shared computer is fine) of both numbers. If they diverge for more than two days, screenshot both and send them to Cursor support; a record helps when disputing a charge.
- Don't schedule anything new the week you see a mismatch.
