How does the Grok Bot weekly allowance work?

The Grok Bot weekly allowance is included usage that resets each week. Learn where to check it, what happens at the limit and how on-demand usage works.

Short answerThe weekly allowance is the Grok Bot usage included with an eligible paid Cursor plan or linked eligible Grok access. It resets weekly. If it runs out, additional work can use the account's shared Cursor on-demand balance when on-demand usage is enabled.

What the weekly allowance includes

Eligible Grok Bot access comes with a weekly amount of included usage. Cursor states that Pro, Pro+, Ultra and Teams access have weekly usage, with larger individual plans providing more. Eligible SuperGrok or X Premium+ access can also be linked to the same Cursor account.

The exact amount can depend on the plan. Check the account instead of relying on an old plan comparison.

Where to see the current number

Open Cursor Settings, then Usage & Billing. The official settings guide says this page shows:

  • weekly included usage;
  • on-demand usage;
  • the billing state attached to the Cursor account.

Record the value before and after the first supervised workflow. That gives you a real cost signal for the work your business plans to repeat.

What happens when it runs out

Account state What happens next
Weekly usage remains Grok Bot continues using the included allowance
Allowance exhausted and on-demand enabled Additional work can use the shared Cursor on-demand balance
Allowance exhausted and on-demand disabled Wait for the weekly reset or have the account owner change the billing setting

Cursor Teams has on-demand usage enabled by default. The account owner should review that setting before scheduling recurring work.

A safe first-week rule

  1. Run one useful workflow manually.
  2. Record the allowance before and after the run.
  3. Test one normal case and one failure case.
  4. Schedule it only after the output and usage are acceptable.
  5. Check Usage & Billing daily during the first week.

If usage rises faster than expected, pause the new routine first. Do not add more recurring work until you know which task caused the change.
