Grok Bot + Composio
How to connect Grok Bot to Composio with a Bot-owned account, the routines that work, the one thing to put behind approval, and our verdict.
How a Bot connects
Grok Bot has a direct Composio connection under Plugins. Once linked, Bots gain Composio's library of integrations for services with no native plugin (LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, Perplexity, and hundreds more).
The Bot's identity
A Composio account owned by the team; each downstream service authorised as the relevant Bot user, not as a human. Don't reuse a human's login. If you did, see shared computer cleanup.
Routines we've run
- Setup — document Composio in every Bot's shared knowledge file so Bots know it's the path to services without native plugins
- Quarterly — review which Composio connections exist and who authorised them; revoke unused ones
Each routine follows the four-part shape: when it runs, what it reads (bounded), what it produces, when it stops. See routines best practices.
The thing to gate
It's a second place where authorisations accumulate. Audit it with the shared computer.
Verdict
The multiplier. Most 'does Grok Bot integrate with X' questions end here. Treat its authorisations with the same care as the shared computer.
Setup notes
- Test every routine supervised until it's produced the right output three times.
- Add the routine's completion line to your heartbeat log so silent failures show up.
- Put the Composio token in the Bot's connector settings or knowledge file, never in a chat message.
