Glossary

Short definitions for every term used on this site. Grok Bot's own vocabulary plus ours.

• Bot — A named agent in Grok Bot with a job description, its own conversation thread, and (ideally) its own accounts.
• Shared computer — The cloud machine attached to your Grok Bot account.
• Routine — A scheduled or event-triggered workflow run by one Bot.
• Skill — A reusable set of instructions for how to do a task: steps, decision rules, expected output, safety boundaries.
• Approval — A point where a Bot stops and asks a human before acting.
• Plugin / connector — An account-wide integration (Gmail, Slack, GitHub…) authorised once and available to every Bot.
• Composio — A connector platform Grok Bot can link directly, extending integrations to services without native plugins.
• Weekly allowance — The included Grok Bot usage on an eligible plan, separate from Cursor/Grok usage.
• On-demand usage — Metered billing by model and tokens beyond the allowance.
• Spend ceiling — Our term for the substitute cap: an on-demand rule in the dashboard plus a watcher routine plus a kill procedure.
• Spend watcher — A daily routine that reads the usage dashboard, logs the numbers, and alerts at thresholds.
• Heartbeat — One log line a routine writes on completion.
• Kill procedure — A one-page, practised sequence to pause every routine and Bot and revoke Bot tokens in under a minute.
• Bot identity / Bot account — A dedicated email, tool seats and tokens for each Bot, so nothing human is on the shared computer and blast radius is contained.
• Chief of staff Bot — The one Bot you talk to.
• Delegation — Bots handing work to other Bots based on name, title and description.
• Teach by demonstration — Asking a Bot to follow along as you do a task once; it saves the workflow as a skill you then edit.
• Prompt injection — Text a Bot reads (email, ticket, web page) that instructs it to act.
• Legacy Privacy Mode — A Cursor account data setting incompatible with Grok Bot, which requires cloud data storage.
• Eligible plan — A Cursor or SuperGrok subscription that unlocks Grok Bot.
